FORWARD UNTO ARMIES Forward unto armies, crash guest upon the seaways Smiling chastity that reaches out, beneath her crimson shutter Lying half asleep in bed at night Drank maudlin and German wine Upon the rusty doorway bleeding, halfway to the hell of needing Pleasure me your eyes deceit, decrepit as the seat you sit Below her moistened shutters beats a heart as hot as lightning As i thrust the arrow forward in the dark and crazy circle Passed the meshing of the moonlight as it breaks upon the mantle of her dark forbidding entrance Swallowed whole a fallow warning From the grey dusk of the morning, see it seep as though were running In the ruin of the day, your eyes are blindly thrashing wildly Then your shutters close forever and you find yourself in heaven But the air there smells of bodies as they rot upon the carpet In a thousand different coffins, lie the dreams you had forgotten And when you feel your flesh go rotten, think of me upon the seaways A man without a conscience, stripping bark to see the trees defeat In bags, bring out the sorrow Wasting time with stupid living Giving out but not believing Painful through the soft, relieving masterpiece. I’m at peace. So I cease

The Weather 02:45
THE WEATHER Sitting on the outside looking outside at the weather See you standing side by side so we’ll all go down together Running up the mountainside I see the clouds below me Selling off the daily grind I start to die more slowly Just talking about the weather
3.
Afloat 02:49
Afloat There’s something in the water Something in my bloodstream Tearing at my cortex Vibrating like the sunset There’s something trapped inside me There’s someone at the door now My dog can see the future But he don’t know how to tell me Her body was beautiful As i sat on my chair in a haze My head was as hard as the airport floor I could tell it was one of those days There’s demons on the highway Devils at the crossroads There’s no-one here beside me No-one to look up to The sunlight’s free for tenants But i don’t think i belong here
4.
Hovering 04:57
HOVERING Two paths Several acres of forgotten dreams Safe lanes People roaming on unwoven seams Lying on the edge of a raft Waiting for the signalling craft No door Whitewashed windows and unlucky loves Dark stars Silent birds hovering far above Waiting for the fire to begin Watch the people learning to swim Brick red Colours that blind us when we look away Clock ticks Eyes as wild as the wild at play Sitting by a tree in the park Hanging by a rope in the dark Lying on the edge of a raft Waiting for the signalling craft

The Deep Breath To take you to that party we never been to. To take you to that island I can’t swim to. The river will not stop to watch you And it breathes in once more for the body And then once more for the soul One big breath for you As together we will stay ‘til we’re not old. Anymore Not two Anymore Just one As good and bad as I am I am as good and bad as you are I know deep down that you believe me I always want you to be near me So I know that you can see me So I know I do exist So I know I can persist Past the turning of the day I have to say that I wouldn’t have it any other way
6.
How Long Was I Away? Who’s to say I was away All the day is an amazing way to say that it’s amazing way to say or just to stay Way to play or to unwind it Ways to tie it tight and bind it How long was I away? Give me something for the pain Give me something I can really care for something so exciting Waiting for you in the rain Gun in hand in case there’s much more fighting So the world is frightening
7.
Rollover 02:21
Rollover Take your places This side next time You’re much too sweet And far too cheap for me Rollover Making headway Speeding backwards You’re much too sweet And far too cheap for me Rollover Foreign passtime Wake up dreaming You’re much too sweet And far too cheap for me Rollover Institution Rest in armour You’re much too sweet But far too cheap for me Rollover

Last Year’s Thing Put down the knife I’ll close my eyes As if in a dream I’ll be alright A being unseen and the queen of an empire A type of a thing unknown to me now but that once was awake and with hate took redemption upon all of those who spoke of inception A cause Of course Did plot A course For seas To seize The unease in me Unable to see the being unseen Hammer the nail for me Hammer the nail in me Hammer the nail makes three It’s never so easy a thing as it seems to be certain to be Being you Being me Down on the earth we’re searching for money Passing the hours in the park when it’s sunny Everyone laughs at the things that are funny Come and I’ll know that it’s you The fight is alright if the light can bring sight to the night I’ll be your invented white knight I’ll be alright As if in a dream I’ll close my eyes Please put down the knife

Co-operate 01:56
Cooperate Things eat things..crack their shells Things eat things..break their wings Some drink from the veins of others Some drink from their mothers Feeding on the air Feasting everywhere Turn petrol into paper pastel ambers Banquet on the seeds Reach down into the rocks and stones We burn our homes Whalebone pale, our faces fall This show's too short for lives of sand Hold up your hands and respirate Things, catch the sun..things drink rain Things, catch the sun..some things run Some crawl on their hands and knees Some crawl on beds of seas Everything eats something As much as is real The orbit turns to eat itself The pious fall and kneel Does god eat gods for dinner Or save him for desert Everyone eats something I gourge myself on dirt

Head 11:16
Head Get down As soon as he comes Say his name As soon as he comes Take aim As soon as he runs They’ll need the dogs to find him She lights The light in his eye She fights She knows she can’t die She’s right We’re judged from on high We’re not from last time’s history She was an angel now she’s just a burning tree She starts to wail and spiral right in front of me It takes a lifetime just to count to 23 The smoke disperses Door it closes, Silently We watch, the bodies that fly We see the dead people die All those who cry are all high It must be something special We scratch a line in the sand Hand in hand with torches blazing We kill. It is amazing The doctor’s wife is crazy When I saw her she just took my breath away My heart’s dissolving as she throws her dress away She reaches out for me and asks me what to say I know the answer, but i don’t know how to play But we’re ok Get down As soon as he comes Say his name As soon as he comes Take aim As soon as he runs Those boots were made for walking The last inclusion Sees just one man sat to pray Cross legs his eyes are closed he seems to be away There’s nothing outside not a trace of night or day No gods no monsters no-one to show him the way But he’s ok
